About This Blog

Cryptid Chronicles covers a variety of topics from cryptozoology and mythological beasts to rare animals and unidentified creatures.

In the short amount of time I have been online with Tumblr, my blog has surprisingly gained a rather large following.

I am very grateful to all of this blog’s followers and fans and hope that people find this effort useful and interesting. This project is a labour of love and is growing all the time.

I am a huge supporter of all things related to Cryptozoology and prior to this blog, have spent many hours upon hours pouring over obscure articles, reading books, hunting for photographic material or respectable illustrations and generally just trying to find more research on anything related to this field.

I am an amateur researcher at best, I have no professional background in science or any related field, I simply have a love of the search for unknown animals and to appreciate both the science and the lore, legend and mythology that surrounds them and to help others learn more about the world we live in.

I am a fan of Loren Coleman, Ken Gerhard, Pat Spain, Bernard Heuvelmans, Tom Slick, Karl Shuker and Dale Drinnon and sincerely appreciate the hard work and significant contributions they have made to the field of Cryptozoology.

Based on stories and legends, there is still much to learn and discover about hidden creatures in our world; many explorations of which will help us learn more about ourselves and how we can find better balance within ourselves and on this planet. It is my goal to take my followers on a journey with me to help with that process, all while appreciating the adventure into realms of the unknown.

I run this blog in my spare time and am using Tumblr as a medium to share some of my findings because I enjoy the community and consider this effort a compilation best appreciated and presented in Tumblr format.

Most entries I have posted are informational and many are accompanied by illustrations whenever possible for the benefit of my readership.

I try to provide coverage of interesting creatures that may inhabit our world or may have lived in the past, and post reports of sightings of cryptid encounters around the world, along with other discoveries of rare and yet indentified creatures.

I hope that someday Cryptid Chronicles will be so popular or at least reputable that people want to share their experiences with this blog’s community and send me sighting reports!

Feedback is always welcome.
